SBU Sixth’s student Christmas Party and Talent Show had an amazing special guest in December. DJ AG, Time Out’s Londoner of the Year and a TikTok live-streamer with over half a million followers, hosted and streamed the show on 18 December.
Eight acts from the Sixth Form took part in the talent contest, including solo singers, gospel choirs, a pianist, rappers and even a gymnast! The 90-minute show received over 400,000 likes on AG’s TikTok feed (@DJAGonline). The winner, chosen by the 200 SBU6 students in the audience, was rapper (and SBU6 Engineering student!) Rasharn (@rash_grr).

DJ AG is known for hosting impromptu-style DJ sets at outdoor public locations and his live streamed performances have featured famous artists including Skepta, Jorja Smith and Idris Elba. He also goes to community settings including schools and care homes to “spread the joy”. He was named Time Out’s Londoner of the year in December 2024 – you can read more about AG and the award in Time Out here.
