FOUNDATION YEAR SCIENCE
SBUSixth’s Foundation (Level 2) course in Applied Science provides a route into continued education in science. This course combines the key areas of Biology, Physics and Chemistry to give you a well-rounded practical and theoretical understanding of the Applied Sciences.
Course details
You will take part in a range of laboratory practicals, developing an understanding of common practices in laboratory settings. You will also have the opportunity to explore a wide range of career paths open to you and find out about how you can pursue various careers in the wide world of science.
Course content
This course is a 1 year programme of study. Over tis time you will complete a series of units composed of both practical and theoretical study. Taught sessions include practicals and student-centred theory lesson. You will also need to study independently to complete coursework, presentations etc.
Your timetable will be on 4 days per week and you will also complete work experience as part of your study programme.
