The Student Services and Careers team at SBUSixth have been named as national runner-up in the ‘Innovation and Change’ category at the Sixth Form Colleges Association (SFCA) annual awards. They were nominated for the sixth form’s ‘Future Focused’ programme, which gives Year 12 and 13 students experience of university tuition. The joint SBUSixth and London South Bank University programme has provided over 300 student visits to the university, with days of study covering engineering, health, science, business and finance-related degree courses.
The award was presented to staff from the Sixth Form at the SFCA conference and awards ceremony in Nottingham yesterday (17 June 2026). You can read more about the programme here
