SBUSixth are proud and delighted that staff have been shortlisted in two categories for this year’s Pearson National Teaching Awards.
Our Health Science teaching team have been shortlisted for Further Education Team of the Year. In the FE Lecturer of the Year category, Clarise Mofor, Head of the Business & Finance pathway, has also been shortlisted.
The Health Science team includes Curriculum Manager Ingrid Miller and colleagues Abi Badiru, Lindsay Edward and Najraan Yaxye.
SBUSixth Principal Kishan Pithia said, “For a small, specialist sixth form college to have its staff shortlisted in two categories at these major awards is incredible – a fantastic achievement in itself and a real tribute to our wonderful teachers. We know how outstanding they are and will be hoping they get the winners awards they deserve!”
We will be proudly celebrating the Health team, Clarise and all our colleagues on National Thank a Teacher Day, June 17th when all the results will be announced.
