T Levels Week 2025

This week is T Levels Week. Find out more about why students choose T Levels at SBU Sixth and some of the great things they will be doing here.

Michelle and Oluwa – T Level Engineering (Year 1)

“It’s fascinating to learn about manufacturing technologies. The facilities here mean we can actually make things, for example using 3D printers to make components. I love that practical side. For the future, I’m looking at a degree apprenticeship. I’m looking at a placement with Arup or Mace to get the experience I need.” Michelle

“I’m a practical person, I chose T Level for the hands-on projects involved. At the same time, we’re developing in-depth knowledge, the maths element is really important. In the future, I’m aiming for university to study mechanical engineering.” Oluwa

Shamara, Ewurama and Jackson – T Level Finance (Year 2)

“After a year on A Levels, I decided I wanted to focus on one subject. I’m getting a great understanding of how the finance industry operates, financial products and how money is traded.” Jackson

“My placement will be in Cyprus for three weeks with a financial organisation. We’re going to have the opportunity to work, get real life experience and knowledge. The placement is closely related to the course, we will be gathering evidence that is marked and helps us like gain skills.” Shamara

“The course has encouraged my ambitions. I can see my future in asset management or real estate.” Ewurama
