Students in SBU Sixth’s Business & Finance groups enjoyed a guest masterclass from global data and digital company Business Critical Solutions last week. Account consultants Grace Hellyer and Baboucar Badjie delivered a presentation about BCS, the Data Centre market and opportunities to help companies develop their digital capabilities in a fast-moving world.
As an industry that’s rapidly growing and evolving, data and digital consulting offer exciting career opportunities to current students. Grace and Babs shared insights into what BCS do, some of the specialist roles they recruit to, how data centres facilitate the world around us, and the diverse career paths available, including apprenticeships.
Reflecting on the experience, Grace said: “It felt inspiring to provide sixth form students with insight into our experiences as apprentices. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn more about opportunities within BCS and the construction industry made the experience highly engaging. We’re passionate about engaging with young talent and showcasing the many ways to build a career in this dynamic industry. A huge thank you to South Bank University Sixth Form for having us.”
