At SBUSixth we value the contribution of parents/guardians to your son or daughter's sixth form education. We will ensure you are involved and informed in the following ways:
Before joining: parents are welcome to attend Open Events and applicant interviews. You can contact us at any time to ask about the progress of an application or ask us questions about post-16 education and qualifications. At the point of enrolment we will ensure we have the contact details of two adults who will act as key contacts for the young person.
While your daughter or son is with us, we will:
- Connect you to their progress and relevant information via an online parent portal
- Invite you to attend at least one in-person parents' evening per year
- Inform you directly if we have any concerns about your daughter or son's progress
