At South Bank University Sixth Form, our standards are workplace standards. Therefore, our dress code requirement is simply that you come to Sixth Form dressed suitably for employment in the sector you are studying. Full guidance will be given when you enrol. We do not have a uniform.
As a rough guide, you should wear:
– Plain, dark coloured shoes
– Plain Shirt, jumper or t-shirt. A top with a small logo is fine, but no slogans please
– Trousers / skirt. Not denim or jeans.
For everyone’s safety, while in the building you must wear your ID Badge and lanyard visibly at all times. Caps and hoods should be removed when inside. You must not wear a mask or face covering (except with the permission of a senior member of staff).
Students do not need to purchase ‘PPE’ (personal protective equipment) such as boots or overalls. When you are working in practical facilities, eg labs or workshops, tutors will advise you of any particular clothing requirements.
