GCSE English and Maths at SBUSixth are for students who have not yet achieved a Grade 4 in English and/or Maths and need these qualifications to progress onto further study or employment. Students receive focused teaching and structured support to help build confidence, strengthen core skills, and prepare for final examinations. Achieving a Grade 4 or above in English and Maths is essential for progression to Level 3 courses, apprenticeships, higher education and many career pathways.
Students study GCSE English and/or maths alongside a Level 2 qualification in one of the four pathways (Engineering, Health, Business and Science).
Your Level 2 qualification and English/Maths resit will take one year, and successful students can then progress to a Level 3 course in each of the pathways.
Please apply to the main pathway that you wish to study - we will add you to the relevant GCSE group(s) at the time you enrol here.
