At South Bank University Sixth Form, enrichment is an important part of student life and personal development.
Our enrichment programme is designed to help students build confidence, develop leadership skills, explore new interests, improve wellbeing, and prepare for life beyond sixth form.
We believe education is about more than qualifications. Through enrichment, students are encouraged to grow as individuals, develop transferable skills, and become active, engaged members of the wider community.

SBUSixth offers a range of activities to enjoy at lunchtimes and at the end of timetabled lessons. Each year students have the chance to let us know what they want from the enrichment programme. In 2026, enrichment activities include:

  • Football: 5-a-side and 11-a-side
  • Basketball
  • Music
  • Chess
  • Robotics
  • Simulators
  • Faith groups
  • Gym and boxing

“The best part of enrichment was getting involved in things I would never normally have tried. It helped me build confidence, meet new people and feel more connected to college life.” – Aisha, SBU6 Student
