The T Level in Science is a two-year course designed for students who want a more practical, career-focused route into science after GCSEs. It combines classroom learning with hands-on experience, covering key scientific knowledge such as laboratory techniques, data analysis and scientific concepts across biology, chemistry and physics. A major part of the course is an industry placement, where students gain real experience in environments like laboratories, research facilities, or companies in health or engineering fields, for example. This makes T Level Science a great option for students who enjoy learning by doing and want a clear path into careers or further study in areas such as healthcare, research, engineering, or laboratory science.

Students will gain a thorough grounding in science theory and laboratory practice. A key element of the course is a total of nine weeks of industry placement, which may be split into two or more blocks over the two years of the course.
- What this course can lead to
The course carries UCAS points, depending on the final grade, enabling you to progress to science-related university courses. With the experience of the industry placement, students are also well placed to seek an apprenticeship or entry-level employment.
- Entry qualifications

All students who have an offer of a place will be given an enrolment appointment in late August. Enrolment is when your place is confimed.
