    On A-Level Chemistry, you’ll study a mix of physical, inorganic and organic chemistry to understand both theory and real-world applications of the subject, including how chemstry relates to medicine, manufacturing technologies and other industries.
    You’ll learn about atomic structure, bonding, energy changes, rates of reaction and equilibrium, using maths and models to explain how and why reactions occur. In inorganic chemistry, you’ll explore the properties and behaviours of different elements, including trends across the periodic table and reactions involving metals and compounds. Organic chemistry meanwhile focuses on carbon-based molecules, where you’ll study hydrocarbons, alcohols and polymers learning how they are made and used. Throughout the course, practical work is an essential part, and you will carry out experiments, analyse results and develop skills in observation, measurement evaluation.
