T-Level Management & Administration

T-Level in Management & Administration is a career-focused qualification designed for students who want to build a strong foundation in skills of business skills and management. Equivalent to three A Levels, this industry-aligned course combines in-depth classroom learning with a substantial work placement, giving you real-world experience alongside technical knowledge in areas such as organisational culture, project management, data management, quality and compliance.

Developed and delivered with input from major employers, this T-Level equips you with the practical skills and confidence needed to progress into a higher apprenticeship, skilled employment, or further study in a huge range of business and management roles.   • Course details

    You will study a broad range of topics, including business operations, finance, project management, communication, customer service and digital technologies. Alongside classroom learning, you will explore how organisations work and how effective administration supports the success of businesses, charities and public sector organisations. The course combines academic study with practical application, helping students understand the realities of the workplace.

    A key feature of the T Level is the substantial industry placement, giving students valuable experience with an employer and the opportunity to apply their learning in a professional setting. Throughout the course, students will develop essential employability skills such as teamwork, problem solving, organisation, leadership and professional communication. These experiences help young people build confidence, gain industry insight and create a strong foundation for future success in a wide range of careers.

    At the end of Year One you will complete externally marked exams and an Employer Set Project.

    In Year Two you will complete an externally marked project based on your occupational specialism.

    Across the two years you will spend around nine weeks on placement in a role related to your occupational specialism. In 2026, students from this department at SBUSixth spent 3 weeks of their placement in Crete, working with a major European bank and learning from a range of finance professionals.

    At SBU Sixth Form, the T Level in Management and Administration prepares students not only for their next step, but also for long-term success in an increasingly competitive and dynamic world of work.
    On successful completion of the course, students can progress to skilled employment, apprenticeships or higher education, including business, management and related degree programmes. The qualification is highly respected by employers and universities because it combines technical knowledge with real workplace experience. T-Levels provide UCAS points, based on your final grade, so access to a variety of university courses is possible and T Level students at SBUSixth have progressed to a variety of degrees including at Russell Group universities.
