- Course details
The T Level in Accounting combines classroom learning with practical experience to give you a strong start in finance. You’ll study core modules such as bookkeeping, financial accounting and costing, learning how to record and manage business finances accurately. The course also covers business environments, professional ethics and using digital accounting software.
The course will develop to explore topics like preparing financial statements, analysing data, understanding tax and legal regulations.
The nine-week industry placement is an essential part of the course and will give you hands-on experience applying what you’ve learned in class. It is also excellent experience for your CV.
- What this course can lead to
The qualification carries UCAS points (dependent on your final grade), so students can progress to university to study a range of accounting or finance-related degree courses. Successful students are also well set to apply for higher apprenitceship positions and junior employment in the finance sector., with roles such as Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Payroll Administrator, or Bookkeeper.
With further training and experience, you could progress to more senior roles like Accountant, Auditor, Financial Analyst, or Tax Adviser. The course also opens opportunities in sectors like banking, insurance, and corporate finance.
- Entry qualifications
