London South Bank University Group and Employee Shortlisted for British Diversity Awards 2023

London South Bank University (LSBU) Group and one of its employees, Sanchia Alasia, have been shortlisted for the British Diversity Awards 2023. The awards ceremony, which takes place on March 22nd, promotes the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion by recognizing individuals and organizations that make the world and the workplace a better place for others.

Sanchia Alasia has been shortlisted for the ‘HR Champion of the year’ award, while the LSBU Group has been nominated for the ‘Company of the year’ award. Both Alasia and the LSBU Group have been recognised for their efforts in promoting and championing diversity and inclusion within their respective roles and organizations.

The British Diversity Awards have become an important event in the UK’s diversity and inclusion calendar, recognising and celebrating the efforts of individuals and organisations that are making a positive impact in this area. This year’s event is particularly significant, as it comes at a time when many people are experiencing increased levels of intolerance and hate crimes against minorities.

The LSBU Group is a leader in technical education and serves a diverse group of students of all ages and backgrounds. The group comprises of London South Bank University, Lambeth College, South Bank University Academy (for 11-19 year olds), South Bank University Sixth Form, and South Bank University Enterprises Ltd.

The group also established a new Institute for Professional and Technical Education (IPTE) which provides a one-stop shop for employers and learners who wish to participate in apprenticeships and recently launched the Institute of Health and Social Care, which represents the next step in the LSBU Group’s commitment to becoming the leading provider of healthcare training in London.

Our group manifesto states that knowledge has the power to impact the lives of all people, regardless of background, by promoting freedom, fairness, and openness in society, and by fostering economic growth without leaving anyone behind.

Despite the current challenges, the awards continue to highlight the importance of the values of equality, diversity and inclusion. The awards organisers believe that by continuing to promote and support these values, they can help make the UK a better place to live and work for everyone.

The LSBU Group and Sanchia Alasia have demonstrated a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, and are well-deserved nominees for the British Diversity Awards 2023. The group looks forward to the awards ceremony in March and hopes to be among the winners.
